Kolkata Knight Rider(KKR) elected to bowl at their home ground against the Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) in the match 2 of Indian Premier League 2019. David Warner has had a dream comeback in IPL. His knock of 85 led SRH to a fighting total against KKR.

Jonny Bairtow (39) and Warner stitched a partnership of 118 runs for the opening wicket. This partnership set the stage for SRH. It was Piyush Chawla who broke the partnership getting the wicket of Bairstow in the 13th over. However this did not stop Warner from slamming the bowling attack. In his knock of 85 off 53, Warner hit 9 boundaries and 3 sixes. Andre Russell, who had been expensive before got the important wicket of Warner. Robin Uthappa took a good low catch to get rid of Warner.

Russell followed it with the wicket of Yusuf Pathav in his next over. It was Vijay Shankar and Manish Pandey who finished it off for SRH. Shankar's quick innings of 40 off 24 helped SRH gain momentum after the loss of two wickets. The KKR bowlers were expensive with no bowler under the economy of 7.5.

Scorecard: SRH 181 for 3 (David Warner 85, Vijay Shankar 40*; Andre Russell 3-0-32-2) vs KKR
