The Delhi Capitals(DC) bowlers won them the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) by 39 runs. At one point the SRH were going away with the game, with their opening partnership. However, once the first wicket fell, it opened the floodgates. From 72 for none, the home team ended up with 116 all-out in 18.5 overs. The loss again portrayed how dependent SRH are on their openers.
With the way Jonny Bairstow(41) and David Warner(51) opened, the chase seemed like a walk in the park. However, their partnership of 72 was got to a halt by Keemo Paul in the 10th over, by dismissing Bairstow on 41(31). In his next over, he got the wicket of Kane Williamson for 3. He also contributed with a wicket in his last over, sending back Ricky Bhui (7). It was all upto Warner with 55 needed off 28 balls.
However, Kagiso Rabada had other plans. He took the important wicket of Warner in the 17th over. On his next ball he even sent back Vijay Shankar with a quicker delivery. SRH now needed 50 off 21 with five wickets in hand. Chris Morris in the next over took three wickets, to set the winning stage for DC. Rabada did the cleaning up work in the 19th over, bowling SRH out for 116.
