Lasith Malinga may be very close to his retirement from cricket, but has proved to his fans that there is still gas left in him. Malinga was seen travelling miles from one country to another and putting up a impressive show as well.
Malinga was in news recently, when there were speculations that he may not play a game for Mumbai Indians(MI). However, he made his comeback in the team and also picked up 3 wickets in MI's game against Chennai Super Kings(CSK) which MI won by 37 runs. Malinga also had commitments with the board to play the domestic 50-over league, Super Provincial One Day Tournament 2019. With a match next day, Malinga rushed to the Mumbai airport to board a flight to Kandy and then headed to the stadium and starred with the ball taking his team to victory. He bowled a brilliant spell of 9.5-0-49-7 to take his team home.
With many boards taking extensive care of their players and managing their workload, the 35-year old Malinga has showcased his fitness level. MI will now play their next match on April 6 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
