Where should our vote go and how to choose the right leader?

Only a few hours are left for the Lok Sabha elections to begin. Now the biggest question arises. Who will be our next Prime Minister? But before raising this question, we should ask that on which issues do we have to elect our Prime Minister? The biggest problem of Indian politics is casteism, which always keeps the country from going ahead by choosing the wrong candidates. In the last few days, we have heard many speeches, seen many rallies, had a number of debates on television and heard a lot of promises made by our politicians. There have been so many events that they confuse us on our votes. But do all these events have any impact on our lives?

It is important for you to understand that politics is about elections, not about emotions. Getting influenced by a person of the same caste or giving importance to speeches which are more about the emotion and less about the policy implementation, should not divert your vote towards them. Always keep in mind that your politician is not your God but your service provider. If you treat them as your God, then they will make you work like a dog. It's necessary for us to make them realise that they need us and not the other way around. We pay them to provide us with service in the form of taxation. And if their work won't come back to us as expected then we can change our service provider. Allowing them to make a fool out of you with their emotional strategy should be discouraged.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT LEADER?

Analyse the work done by them in the last five years and see how many promises they had made during the previous election and how many promises they were able to fulfil. Real issues should be discussed, such as education, employment, infrastructure, health services, farmer suicides, forwarding policy, etc. These are issues whose actual impact falls on your life and country. There are several such schemes that were started by the government, but how many of them were actually implemented at the ground level and how many have got success? Crosscheck the fact. Do not let them brainwash you with fake propaganda and false data. Not only with the government but ask a question to yourself as well. Where do you stand in the last five years? How much impact does the current government have on your pocket? Are your local problems (i.e. road, electricity, water, women empowerment, cheap services etc.) solved by your MP’s? Although we are responsible for choosing our own MP’s and then they elect their minister who becomes our PM, all our ground level development is done by our MP not by our PM. Research before you vote.
