Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday has been advised by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to be careful in future regarding use of words in his speeches or public appearances. It was in his rally in Ghaziabad on last Sunday where he critised Congress, saying it served “biryani” to terrorists, while Mr. Modi’s forces treated them with bullets and bombs.
It was the term “Modiji ki sena,” that got him in trouble. Although Yogi sent his response to the Commission’s show cause notice for the alleged Model Code of Conduct violation. However, the poll panel wasn't convinced with his explanation. Reportedly an official said, “He has been formally advised to be more careful in future.”
The ECI may have taken action on statements made publicly but it is social media where both the parties mock each other brutally.
