Delhi High Court asks status of notice to Sreesanth regarding spot-fixing case

The SC cancelled the lifeban on Sreesanth and also asked the BCCI to reconsider his punishment on March 15, 2015.

The Delhi High Court has asked its Registrar to look if the notice on Delhi Police appeals have been served to S Sreesanth and his Rajasthan Royals teammates Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan, in the 2013 spot fixing case.

The further hearing on this matter will be done on April 10 and Justice Sunil Gaur have asked the official to file a report. According to reports, the court was hearing a Delhi Police plea challenging a trial court’s order discharging all the accused.

During IPL 2013, the court had charged Sreesanth and his teammates on spot-fixing case. However. post two years, on July 25, 2015 the trial court dropped the charges. On March 15, the Supreme Court then cancelled the lifeban on Sreesanth and also asked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to reconsider his punishment.
