To avoid being cheated by fake porters on railway stations, the Western Railways have come up with a solution. Starting from Surat, the authorised porters will have QR code based on their identity. This will help the travelers to identify the right porter and not get overpriced.

Once it is successful in Surat, the rule will be implemented on other major stations with huge footfall as well. When it comes to Mumbai locals, it is always the Western Railways that brings about technological advances. Now with this step, it is happening nation wide as well.
