Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) posted a mammoth score of 232 against the Mumbai Indians(MI) in the match 47 of Indian Premier League. Although, Andre Russell came in one down, it was Shubman Gill who stole his thunder. He registered his highest T20 score of 76(45) opening the innings. He smashed 6 boundaries and 4 sixes before getting out in the 16th over. This is also the highest total of the season.
He came into the game when it mattered the most, the death overs. He was on a rampage in the last 5 overs. He hit atleast 3 boundaries in the death overs. Hitting with a strike rate of 200, he took KKR to an next to unchasable total for MI.
For MI, the only wicket-taking bowlers were Hardik and Chahar, getting Gill and Lynn respectively. Barinder Sran and Rahul Chahar were the most expensive of the lot.
