IPL 2019: Kolkata Knight Riders mark an easy victory against Rajasthan Royals

The Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) have defeated the Rajasthan Royals(RR) in their own den winning by 8 wickets in the match 21 of Indian Premier League(IPL). Chasing 140, KKR made it look like a walk in the park. It was the opening partnership of 91 between Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine that set the tone of the game. This win has now taken KKR to the top of points table. 

Both the batsmen got a lifeline early on in their innings, with Lynn surviving a bowled, as the bails did not come off and Narine was dropped. Narine led the opening partnership with his innings of 47 off 25 with 6 boundaries and 3 sixes. Lynn on the other hand went on to bring up his 50 off 32 balls with the same number of boundaries and sixes. 

Shubman Gill was promoted to No.4, but there was nothing much left for him. Gill and Robin Uthappa(26*) finished the match for KKR in the 14th over. This win has showed how well balanced the KKR team is. This is also the biggest win in IPL 2019 with context to balls remaining. 

Earlier in the the match, the KKR bowlers bowled discipline line and length to restrict the batsmen to open their arms. Harry Gurney was the pick f the bowler with figures 4-0-25-2. Smith did bring up his half-century but it was a slow innings. He was the top-scorer for the home team with 73* runs. However, the score of 139 was a tiny one for team who chased down 206 with 5 balls to spare.
