Prime minister Narendra Modi's biopic is in the news buzz since its trailer was released. Vivek Oberoi, who plays Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the eponymous biopic set to hit the screens this week. the movie has faced much criticism from the opposition and Congress leaders asking for a court ban on the film's release but court has given a clean chit to movie.
The 42-year-old actor strongly defends the film that marks his comeback to the industry in the defence of the movie he said "I don't understand why some people are overreacting like this. Why are such senior and famous lawyers like Abhishek Singhvi ji and Kapil Sibal ji wasting time on filing a PIL on such a modest film? Don't know if they are scared of the film or of Chowkidar's danda." He also added that PM Modi is already a hero.
Vivek Oberoi denied all allegations that the film's release violates the code of conduct for the April-May national election, by glorifying PM Modi. The actor said "We are not projecting Modi ji as larger than life... he already is larger than life. We are not projecting him as a hero, he already is a hero, not only for me but for crores of people in India and abroad. It's an inspirational story which we have brought to screen,"
The film has also been in the buzz because of Vivek Oberoi's appearance; many believe he is not entirely convincing in the title role. The film is made by director Omung Kumar, A two-and-half minute trailer viewed by million shortly after it emerged online.
