Delhi Capitals win a last-ball thriller against Sunrisers Hyderabad

It was all down to the penultimate delivery of the match between Delhi Capitals(DC) and Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH). However, it was Keemo Paul who struck a boundary when his team required run a ball 2. With this win DC now go into the qualifiers to face Chennai Super Kings(CSK)

Rishabh Pant changed the course of the game with his 21-ball 49. He could not finish it, as he mistimed a slow delivery from Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the second last over. DC needed 2 off 3 when Amit Mishra was given out for obstructing the field while running. 

Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan provided a solid start to DC by building a partnership of 66 within 8 overs. Pant even went ahead to score a half century. He smashed 56 off 38 with 6 boundaries and 2 sixes. He was dropped cheaply early on by Basin Thampi. It was Thampi again who leaked 22 runs off the 18th over, which cost SRH the game. Rashid Khan starred with the ball again, conceding only 15 runs off his 4 overs (one maiden) and taking the wickets of Colin Munro(14) and Axar Patel(0).

In the first innings, a David Warner-Jonny Bairstow less SRH managed to reach 162 in 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. Martin Guptill was the top-scorer with 36(18) runs. Others like Manish Pandey(30), Kane Williamson(28), Vijay Shankar(25) and Mohammed Nabi(20) contributed as well. Paul was the leading wicket-taker for DC. He finished with 4-0-32-3, with two wickets coming in the last over. 

Scorecard: SRH 162 for 8 in 20 overs (Martin Guptill 36; Keema Paul 4-0-32-3) lost against DC 165 for 8 in 19.5 overs (Prithvi Shaw 56, Rishabh Pant 49; Rashid Khan 4-1-15-2.
